Delivery and Timing

When will my delivery arrive?

• You will receive an email response within 1-3 business days of your online purchase with a delivery date. We will strive to deliver it on your requested dates, but due to product availability, weather restrictions and time of year, we cannot guarantee it.
• We require 24 hours notice to make any changes to already scheduled orders.
• If you require a specific date and time please inform us in the comments section of your order. We will do our best to accommodate your requests. 

Do I need to be home when it arrives?

• We do not require you to be present at the time of delivery.
• If you would like to be home when the product arrives, please inform us in the comments section of your order. 
• If you choose not to be home during the delivery, please clearly specify drop instructions and mark the location with an X using either sidewalk chalk, duct tape or a pylon is useful as well. Please note: if you say "left side of the driveway", that means the left side as we are looking at it from the road.
• Deliveries are typically made between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday and Saturday's from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• If you require a different time, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your request.

How is a bag delivered vs bulk?

• A bag is delivered using a Forklift or Crane to place it on your driveway or back alley.  Extra fee ($29/tote) if you require a crane to deliver over a fence. 
• Materials are delivered loose using a dump truck for bulk deliveries. A full dump truck contains 12 cubic yards of soil and 22 cubic yards of mulch. 
• There are some limitations to where deliveries can be placed due to safety.  For example, if power lines are close by.  If you are not sure, please call the office at 403-217-7587 to discuss with one our knowledgeable staff memebers. 

Where can we place a bag?

• We can place a bag on your driveway, parking pads, back alleys, and on the edge of your property as long as there is access from the roadway.
• With an X or sign, mark where you would like the bag placed. Please note: if you say "left side of the driveway", that means the left side as we are looking at it from the road.
• Please see Delivery Policy for more details. 
• There are some circumstances where we can put your product over a fence with a crane (additional charge of $29/tote)

Where can we dump loose product?

• We can place product on your driveway, parking pad, back alley or roadway. 
• With an X or sign, mark where you would like the product dumped. Please note: if you say "left side of the driveway", that means the left side as we are looking at it from the road.
• We are unable to go through gates narrower than 9 feet. 
• Back alley deliveries can be limitied due to the proximity of overhead power lines. 
• Due to the weight of the truck and material, full tandem loads of soil and rock may be limited to road side dumps. A full dump truck contains 10 cubic yards of rock or 12 cubic yards of soil. 
• We suggest not to have product dumped on exposed aggregate.

What do I do with the empty tote bag?

All landscape tote bags are made with polypropelene; a strong and durable material made to handle the weight of landscape products.  At this time, the city of Calgary does not offer recycling of this material.  In an effort to reduce environment impact, after you return the bag to us, we will reuse it or send the bag to a proper plastic recycling facility.  

• Please return the bag(s) to 65 Commercial Drive in Springbank.  You will receive a $5 credit per tote towards a future order (no cash value/deposit). 
• If you order more product, we can pick up the empty tote when we drop off the full tote.  
• Alternatively you can fill your empty tote with Green Waste and we can pick it up to recycle for $99.99 + GST

Can I pick up product at your location?

• We are not offering pick up of Soil Central Products at this time, however, you can pick up some of our products from our sister division - Bark Mulch Depot which is located at 65 Commercial Drive in Springbank - east of Calaway Park.
