Screened loam (akaTopsoil) is equal portions of sand, silt and clay and is used to shape and create landsapes.
Erosion Control: Applying topsoil can help prevent soil erosion by providing a stable layer that retains moisture and encourages root growth
Turf Installation: When laying new sod, topsoil is often spread over the area at a 2 inch depth to provide a nutrient-rich base for the sod to take root and grow. Root Starter fertilizer can be added as well.
Lawn Improvement: Can use to fill in larger holes/depressions, but use Lawn Leveller or Compost to fill in smaller holes and overseed to promote healhier grass growth.
Can be used alone or mixed with nutrient rich soil amendments for planting trees, shrubs or plants.
There is a minimum quantity of 6 cubic yard order for this product.
